Soaring above adversity
Iowa Coalition for Collective Change provides organizational training, research and legislative advocacy for victim services in marginalized communities. The organization identifies the needs of these communities and works to increase anti-violence prevention and victim assistance.
At a Glance
Iowa Coalition for Collective Change needed a brand that resonated with people of different backgrounds. Juicebox created a clear, cohesive new brand supported by a strong message of positive transformation.
During discovery we learned they weren’t going to settle for cookie-cutter results. As we developed the project we avoided cliché images and cheesy stock photos — keeping the brand clear and authentic for a wide range of audiences. We created a dynamic logo, a colorful website and a collection of printed materials to support it: business cards, envelopes, folders, letterhead and whitepaper templates.
Making the mark
We discovered that a logo in the shape of a butterfly was a great fit for Iowa Coalition for Collective Change as a symbol of transformation and resilience. Each main quadrant carries significant meaning. Purple represents domestic violence awareness, teal represents sexual assault awareness, orange is a symbol of energy and blue is a symbol of hope. The space between the butterfly’s wings creates a perfect white arrow, indicating upward movement and progress.
