Skywalk Kiosks

The Des Moines Skywalk System stretches more than four miles across over 70 downtown blocks, weaving elevated walkways through buildings rather than following streets. We designed an interactive wayfinding system with kiosks placed at key entrances and throughout the network. Visitors can orient themselves, build a custom route, then scan a QR code to take their map along—serving everyone from daily downtown power users to first-time event visitors alike.

Business Directory

Because skywalk paths don’t follow streets, wayfinding matters. Our business directory helps users find hotels, restaurants, and venues, chart routes, create directions, and send maps with turn-by-turn directions to phones via QR codes.

Business Detail

Each business includes a profile with location, hours, and contact information. Listings can import Google and TripAdvisor reviews, and businesses may purchase paid placements to boost visibility there for exposure.

Events

It’s easy to see what’s happening in the Skywalk system. Upcoming events are searchable and filterable, with event details automatically imported from the Convention and Visitors Bureau database for effortless content management.
