Ames High School is known not just for its academic excellence, but also for its outstanding tradition of high performance in athletics and extracurricular activities. From championship-winning sports teams to vibrant student clubs, the school fosters a spirit of excellence, teamwork, and community involvement. When it came time to create a new activities website, it was essential that the site serve as more than just an information hub—it needed to be a dynamic showcase that reflected the energy and pride of the Little Cyclones.
Our goal was to design a site that captured the excitement of game day and the passion behind every club meeting, blending striking photography with an intuitive user experience. The new site makes it easy for students, parents, and the broader community to stay connected with schedules, highlights, and achievements, all while celebrating the rich tradition that makes Ames High School a standout.
At a Glance
The new website displays a list of upcoming games and events. Along with each event, the opponent’s logo will be displayed on the calendar. It’s a breeze to keep it up-to-date because our calendar automatically imports feeds from various sources and formats (e.g., API, RSS feed, etc.). Visitors can easily save events to their personal calendars.
Website visitors can explore their rich history of competitive success by viewing successful teams, clubs, players and participants. In addition, site visitors can filter by sport/activity, year or search.
The website has a robust library of photo galleries. Website administrators or approved photographers can add photo galleries to the website. In addition, site visitors can download high-resolution copies of images to save photos of their memorable moments.
